Warm home packs saving South London homes £200 per year

Throughout the winter, our SWLEAP team will be distributing warm homes packs in Wandsworth and Richmond, saving the average home around £200 a year on their energy bills.

The scheme has been funded by Wandsworth and Richmond Councils for the second year running. This year kicked off with launch events held in both boroughs on 30th October and 6th November respectively, where we distributed 198 packs in total to local residents!

What’s in the box? These free packs are filled with energy-saving LED light bulbs, radiator foil, and draught-proofing tape which, if installed all together will save the average home £200 per year on its energy bills.Eligible households should have already received an invite to collect their pack from one of the many locations. If you think you could be eligible and haven’t yet received a letter, get in touch at info@crewenergy.london!

To be eligible, you need to:

  • Live in Wandsworth or Richmond
  • Have a household income of under £40k, or
  • Have a home with an EPC rating of D or below

Packs will be available at libraries across Wandsworth and Richmond throughout winter, and we’ll be delivering a further 1,000 warm packs to social housing residents, as well as providing deeper interventions in 400 households.

This includes providing further energy gadgets, such as free electric blankets, infrared heaters, dehumidifiers and secondary glazing.
