The Parent House and CREW Energy are working in partnership to transform the energy performance of the charity’s building.
In summer 2019 The Parent House Trust and CREW Energy won a funding grant from the Islington Council Community Energy Fund to install a range of measures. The project installed solar panels, replaced existing lighting with LEDs and introduced Hydromx within the heating system to save the charity a forecast 6500kWh, 2 tonnes of C02e and around £850 per year.
CREW will also run energy cafe advice sessions with families who use The Parent House services to help them save money and carbon over the coming winter.
The project was completed in winter 2019.
